Tracks list

Reissue with the latest remastering. Comes with liner notes. Phil Woods really
outdoes himself here – offering the world a whole new side of his
talents, and stepping forth at the head of a larger ensemble than usual! The
album features Woods core quartet augmented by larger strings and horns –
all in shadings and tones that are incredibly expressive, and filled with warm
colors and rich tones that never get bogged down in hoke or too-easy
inflections!

Most impressively of all, Phil arranged and conducted the whole set –
save for one number – and all this while playing in that sharp-edged and
soulful mode that graced his best 70s work, a sound thats filled with new
intentions and imagination we never would have expected from his already-great
records of the early years! Titles include The Sun Suite, At Seventeen, Gee,
Mimi, Sacre Coeur, and Body & Soul.
