Tracks list

At the age of 5, inspired by his grandfather (composer and director of the
Bogota Conservatory), Guillaume Roussel started his studies in piano.
He studied harmony, fugue and counterpoint, at the CNR (National Academy of
Music) in Saint-Maur until 1998, and then diversified his influences studying
improvised music at the CIM in Paris and at Didier Lockwoods School.

From a very young age he began composing music in an orchestra style. In 2006,
he conducted his own music, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at
Abbey Road. Guillaume then revealed his talents as a composer through his first
feature, TOMORROW IS TODAY and received an award for Best Score at the
California Independent Film Festival. During this time he also composed for
video games (SHREK FOREVER AFTER, RANGO) and advertising (Pepsi, McDonalds,
Cartier, Bouygues...). In 2009, he composed the music for the short film LADY
NOIR for Dior, starring Marion Cotillard; and composes for many TV Projects such
as CROSSING LINES for NBC directed by Philippe Haïm and Xavier Gens.

In 2010, Hans Zimmer invited him to join the Remote Control team. Since then,
Guillaume composed additional music for American films such as HOW DO YOU KNOW
(COMMENT SAVOIR) directed by James Brooks, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 by Rob
Marshall, THE SMURFS directed by Raja Gosnell, and participated in writing the
music for the Academy Awards Ceremony in 2012. His studio is still based in
Remote Control, Hans Zimmer’s studio facility.

With a strong background and his experience overseas, Guillaume is becoming one
of the most promising composers in France. In 2012 Guillaume scored his first
French feature film LES SEIGNEURS (THE LORDS) directed by Olivier Dahan (after a
first collaboration as orchestrator for “La Vie En Rose”). In 2013
he composed the music for VINGT ANS DÉCART (IT BOY) directed by David
Moreau. In 2014, he scored THREE DAYS TO KILL, directed by McG, starring Kevin
Costner and written by Luc Besson, GRACE OF MONACO directed by Oliver Dahan
starring Nicole Kidman and Tim Roth, FAST LIFE directed by Thomas
N’Gijol, LE CROCODILE DU BOTSWANGA directed by Fabrice Eboué and
Lionel Steketee, LA FRENCH directed by Cedric Jimenez starring Jean Dujardin and
OUTCAST directed by Nick Powell and starring Nicolas Cage and Haydn Christensen
