Probably no other Jamaican artist has brought more international acclaim to his
island home than Desmond Dekker, barring, of course, Bob Marley, but Dekker came
first. Most peoples introduction to the islands unique musical sound came via
the singers many hits, most notably Israelites and 0.0.7. (Shanty Town).

This cd is another mix and match grab bag of Dekker delights from the late 60s.
As always, Dekkers rocksteady sensibilities are on full display on this cd, and,
as ever, his choices of cover songs on which to display his style of music, are
ever intriguing. On this album, he chooses the mid 60s blues.
