| 2. Dancehall deejay Tanto Metro and singer Devonte forged a long-term alliance in the late '90s. Before the Kingston, Jamaica natives became a duo, Tanto Metro was already a veteran artist with piles of singles for labels like Shelter Rock and Shocking Vibes, and he had released a solo album, Ratings, in 1995. Devonte likewise had Shocking Vibes, among other labels, as an outlet for singles. Together, the duo scored a major hit in 1997 with "Everyone Falls in Love," which preceded an album of the same title released two years later.
