In 2017, the jazz and film music composer Ola Kvernberg discovered electronica
and took on a whole new audience group through the release of his
internationally critically acclaimed Steamdome project. Progressive jazz met
electronica and it became one 2017s best-selling albums on vinyl. On Steamdome
II: The Hypogean, Ola Kvernberg presents an even more souped-up crew than last
time, still shamelessly mixing genres and with a newly-won desire to jolt you
out of your home office and give you an hour of music therapy, free of pandemics
and global disasters in general.

Ola Kvernberg broke through at the age of 17 with Hot Club de Norvege. He has
worked and collaborated with Pat Metheny, Joshua Redman, Jason Moran, Jimmy Carl
Black, Todd Terje, Motorpsycho, Ane Brun, Arve Tellefsen, Trondheim Soloists,
Trondheim Symfoniorkester, KORK, Thomas Dybdahl, Stian Carstensen, Trondheim
Jazzorkester and many more. Multi-nominee and award winning at the Norwwegian
Grammy Awards. A recognised film composer, he has won Amandaprisen and
Kanonprisen in Norway, Guldbaggen in Sweden and a nominee at the Grand Scores in
Germany.
