In a revolutionary approach, Indonesian experimental duo SENYAWA have opened the
release of their latest album Alkisah to a multitude of independent record
labels from all over the globe, in an attempt to decentralize the hierarchical
structures of the music industry.

In addition to designing their own cover and packaging the album in the format
of their choice, participating labels were invited to commission remixes of the
album by local artists, as part of Alkisahs release campaign.

Annihaya and Ruptured in Beirut reached out to a number of their contributors,
from Lebanon and elsewhere, to offer their own interpretations of Senyawas
sprawling tales of doom and human shortcomings.
