sounds as rich as the Mississippi Delta he grew up next to. Recorded on location
in Water Valley, Mississippi, Last Man Standing contains songs from his storied
70 year career, with an all-star backing band that includes Screaming Trees/Mad
Season/Walking Papers drummer Barrett Martin, Squirrel Nut Zippers guitarist
Jimbo Mathus, Zippers bassist Stu Cole, and blues guitarists Zakk and Greg
Binns. This 2 CD set also contains CeDells 2002 live album When Lightnin Struck
The Pine featuring REMs Peter Buck on guitar and Barrett Martin on drums. This a
must have collection for anyone who loves the dirty delta blues, because CeDell
Davis is one of the greats.
