Tracks list

Anne Nikitin has been named Classic FMs 2018 Composer to Watch by Andrew Collins
on Saturday Night at the Movies.

From sweeping orchestral scores to dirty guitars, mesmeric synths and delicate
piano refrains, Anne is known for creating unique sound worlds spanning a wide
range of genres.

Her debut into film came when she scored Bart Laytons jaw-dropping BAFTA-winning
film The Imposter. The Guardian described her work as a classy score, while
Indiewire dubbed it a cosmic score. In 2018 her score for Laytons
critically-acclaimed heist movie American Animals starring Evan Peters, Barry
Keoghan and Ann Dowd, was nominated for a British Independent Film Award.

Recent scores include Mrs Wilson, a 3-part BBC Drama starring Ruth Wilson, and
Matt Palmers cult hit BAFTA-winning film Calibre, a dark thriller starring Jack
Lowden and Martin McCann, which won Best Film at this years Edinburgh Film
Festival and is now available on Netflix. The film was hailed by Stephen King as
a genuine nail biter and the music described by The Quietus as a pleasantly
paralysing experience.

In 2017, Anne worked with the London Contemporary Orchestra on the music for
artist Damien Hirsts Venice exhibition and feature film Treasures From the Wreck
of the Unbelievable, now on Netflix.

Other recent films include This Beautiful Fantastic starring Jessica Brown
Findlay, Tom Wilkinson and Andrew Scott; Chuck Norris vs. Communism; and
Sundance prize winner Dark Horse.

Anne was born in Canada to Romanian and Polish parents and grew up in various
countries around the world. She immersed herself in avant-garde music while
studying Composition at McGill University in Montreal, and was awarded a SOCAN
prize for Young Composers of Canada. She completed her Masters in Composition
for Screen at the Royal College of Music in London. In 2006, she won the BBC New
Talent, New TV Composers scheme, which lead to countless commissions with major
television broadcasters.
