Gene Vincent est l’un des pionniers du rocknroll. Avec un seul
authentique succès (« Be Bop a Lula »), il reste l’exemple
presque unique du mauvais garçon tout à la fois sensuel, souffreteux, mais
généreux. Pas tout à fait rescapé du tragique accident qui coûta
la vie à Eddie Cochran en 1960, il offre deux des plus brillants guitaristes
du genre, Cliff Gallup et Johnny Meeks. Avec lui, le rocknroll est
authentifié comme une musique de tous les dangers.
