We are happy to introduce the eighth album by Bebo Best & the Super Lounge
Orchestra for the prestigious Chin-Chin Records label.
Bossa nova, Jazz, Swing, Funk are musical genres followed all over the world;
for the first time this album combines the tradition of Bossa nova with the
Swing, through a clever use of grooves, with the spirit of whatever Nu Jazz
might be: a way-cool cinematic bossa nova jazz groove that could pass for a
late-60s or early-70s soundtrack recording, added with early 21st century
electronic touches. Bebo blends elements of dance music, jazz, swing and
downtempo into one delicious, happy cocktail and the exuberant insouciance of
parties, It could be modernly called “the Swingin Bossa”, just today
that this music becomes popular and that Bossanova and Nu-Jazz became so cool.

While for many groups the process of finding the “vintage sound” may
often sounds old, Bebo Best and his band The Super Lounge Orchestra are
projecting the 60s into the future. A glance at the cover is convincing, the
color of this project is absolutely retro, but this label is too restrictive. In
fact, the group excels as one of its kind. Lovers of Latin music will be
enthusiastic. Crazy percussions, incisive brass, Hammond organ, guitars and
bass: all the ingredients are enough to turn this record into a rather original
sound object, without to distort its intrinsically retro nature, anchored in the
heart of a Latin / jazz / funk triangle. Result: a festive and dancing cocktail,
perfectly suited to enter the new season with joy! 
In addition to being a producer and a DJ, Bebo Best is a multi-instrumentalist
and a very experienced arranger.

With a solid groovy jazz n bossa nova background. Working with a premier group
of jazz musicians from Italy, France and Brazil, Bebo Best uses all his skills
to create a musical framework that reflects the perfect blend of jazz and bossa
in the early 60s, bringing the music forward with its sophisticated arrangements
but also pulsating, rhythmic and enjoyable.

With the fascinating solo of the tenor saxophone, trumpet and vibraphone,
“Swingin Bossa” is also the perfect recording for modern fans of
fine jazz and bossa nova.
