Tracks list

This is one of the earliest albums featuring cornetist/trumpeter Nat
Adderley(1931-2000) and his brother alto saxophonist Julian Cannonball
Adderley(1928-75).
It was originally recorded for WING in New York City on September 6, 1955 led by
Nat(cornet) with Cannonball(alto sax) and a stellar rhythm section of Horace
Silver(piano); Paul Chambers(bass) & Roy Haynes(drums).
Nine of ten tracks are originals by Nat & Cannonball with one standard.
This exuberant music, recorded about six months after Charlie Parkers death, has
a raw, bop influence and is fascinating snapshot of the Adderley brothers
playing in 1955.
