Tracklist 01. Music in the Key of Om (DeJohnette) - 60:51 personnel : Jack DeJohnette - keyboards, bells Jack DeJohnette has long been known as one of the most exciting and consistently stimulating drummers in jazz, one who always pushes ahead. Well, forget that musical description of DeJohnette, at least for this CD. DeJohnette is heard on a keyboard and, near the pieces conclusion, resonating bells, performing what is accurately described as music for meditating, relaxation and healing. He has a droning tone going throughout this endless improvisation while his right hand plays long notes and brief, aimless melodies. One waits in vain for something -- anything -- interesting to occur, but it never does. To be fair, this is meant to be background music for ones deep thoughts. But after listening to this monotonous recital straight through, one will need a different form of healing music to recover from the mood that it casts! Even for new age music, this is incredibly dull.~Scott Yanow  X Lossless Decoder version 20181019 (151.1) XLD extraction logfile from 2019-01-02 17:04:11 -0600 Jack DeJohnette / Music in the Key of Om Used drive : HL-DT-ST DVDRW GX40N (revision RQ00) Media type : Pressed CD Ripper mode : XLD Secure Ripper Disable audio cache : OK for the drive with a cache less than 1375KiB Make use of C2 pointers : NO Read offset correction : 6 Max retry count : 100 Gap status : Analyzed, Appended (except HTOA) TOC of the extracted CD Track | Start | Length | Start sector | End sector --------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 00:00:00 | 60:51:31 | 0 | 273855 AccurateRip Summary (DiscID: 00042dc0-00085b81-020e4301) Track 01 : OK (v1+v2, confidence 7/7) ->All tracks accurately ripped.
