'Salaam e Sufi' is the new album which has been crafted along the last decade or more... and beyond the fascinating world of Sufi music, it also has a deep meaning for me, in my path and in my heart. The path of Sufism inspires peace, tolerance, love, compassion, pure devotion. It encourages music as a way of deepening one's connection with the higher, with the eternal — with that with which always remains alive... beyond words, beyond the visible world. Born on 29 April 1971 in Rajkot, Gujarat, into a Brahmin family, Manish Vyas showed inclination towards music and spirituality from an early age. The learning happened - and is still happening - throughout his life with different Gurus in India. As a kid, his first connection to Indian classical music was through learning Tabla since about 10 years old with Zinda Hussein in Rajkot. At the same time, he started learning Harmonium and singing in the company of local musicians who would gather to sing for enjoyment, with no goal. He learnt singing initially picking up from his mother, later from local vocal teachers in Rajkot and Pune and, now still learning with the senior vocal maestro, Pandit Rattan Mohan Sharma from Mumbai. Reaching his twenties and having moved to Pune to pursue his musical career, and also following his spiritual master Osho, and then Gurudev, Manish continued learning Tabla and classical music for many years with non other than Ustad Allarakha in Mumbai. During those years, he was also in charge of the music department at the Osho Ashram in Pune at its glorious times, organizing events and performing in Osho's presence. During this time, he also learnt to play Santoor, incorporating one more instrument to his collection. Manish he has more than 30 albums, and lives in Switzerland. @manishvyasmusic www.manishvyas.com Tracklist: 1.01 - Manish Vyas - Mastana, Madly in Love (8:40) 1.02 - Manish Vyas - Salaam E Sufi (6:28) 1.03 - Manish Vyas - Secret Treasure (6:58) 1.04 - Manish Vyas - Masti, Bliss (5:48) 1.05 - Manish Vyas - Miracle, Tu Hei Kamaal (4:38) 1.06 - Manish Vyas - Bismillah (6:51) 1.07 - Manish Vyas - Teri Razaa, Surrender (4:26)
