Rodrigo Prieto from a screenplay written by Mateo Gil. The drama is based on the
novel by Juan Rulfo about a man who travels to his recently deceased
mother’s hometown to find his father, only to come across a literal ghost
town.

Gustavo Santaolalla, a renowned composer and two-time Academy Award winner for
Brokeback Mountain and Babel, has created a unique soundtrack that captures the
atmosphere of Rulfo's novel. His music in Pedro Páramo is deeply authentic,
