       "Mutations" (also known as "Mutation," "Freaks," and "Weirdo") is a 1974
British-American science fiction horror film directed by Jack Cardiff. The
film's music was composed by Basil Kirchin (1927-2005), a British drummer and
composer. His career spanned playing in his father's big band from the age of
13, working on films, and experimenting with manipulating recorded sounds,
earning him the nickname "the father of ambient music."
