on November 21, 2025, as the new digital-only album, Live at WOMAD 2023, on Real
World Records. The setlist spans her celebrated career, featuring tracks like
Molino Molero from her debut album, Latinoamérica (a collaboration with Calle
13), and songs from her critically acclaimed album Palabras Urgentes. Susana
Baca is an icon of Afro-Peruvian music, whose career has always been grounded in
her commitment to community service, including her roles as a teacher and
politician. Her music, including the WOMAD performance, is noted for combining
beauty with urgent lyrics, showcasing a "masterclass in understated power" with
a social conscience and desire to speak truth to power. Baca describes these
songs as weaving deep roots with "urgent words, of hope and condemnation."
