This is Teresa Teng's first of the unending series of Greatest Hits albums
released by PolyGram Records in 1976. All 12 tracks on this album are classic
pop hits from the 60s and 70s which Teresa had peformed prior to joining
PolyGram Records. All the 12 songs are new re-recordings which helped give the
songs less anachronistic in the arrangement. It is interesting to hear how
Teresa had changed technique in her singing when re-interpreting these old hits
of hers after her rigourous training in Japan. Besides Hai Yun, Wo Mei You Pian
Ni, Xiang Ri Kui, Nan Wang De Chu Lian Qing Ren and Nan Hai Gu Niang (composer
passed away earlier this year) are equally enduring and yet refreshing each time
you replay this album. A CLASSIC - MUST HAVE FOR ALL FANS!
