Straight from Alessandro Alessandroni's secret archives comes Jolly Mood, an
album of previously unreleased material composed by the Maestro in the early
1970s to accompany a variety of lively, playful, and joyful situations or
incidents depicted in films. Nearly all the pieces presented here come in
several versions, reflecting a common practice of the time in soundtrack
composition—themes were often reimagined in various styles to match
scenes of different lengths and atmospheres.

From whimsical marches like "Army Joke" to rock'n'roll throwbacks such as
"Balera Rock", and from cheerful outdoor motifs like "The Young Scout" to more
jazzy, uptempo tunes like "Funny Blues" or "Jazzy Blues", this brilliant
collection of cinematic, easy-listening music beautifully evokes the jolly moods
enjoyed by 1970s Italian film audiences, who could feast on adventure films,
farcical comedies, and other popular genres of the era.
