EU-only release featuring two albums plus six bonus tracks. The Ventures are one
of the most successful instrumental combos in rock & roll history. The band
played highly personal versions of popular hits while they were still fresh in
the public's mind. They also tapped into the surf-music craze. Their big guitar
sound was highly influential during the '60s, and they've remained an in-demand
working unit to this day. This release features two of the group's finest LPs:
their superb debut Walk, Don't Run (1960), and their self-titled sophomore
effort The Ventures (1961). Both musical goldmines were originally issued by the
Dolton label, and have been remastered and packaged together in this very
special collector's edition, which also contains 6 bonus tracks from the same
period, including such well-known hits as 'Walk, Don't Run', 'Perfidia', 'No
Trespassing', 'Rawhide', and '(Ghost) Riders in the Sky'.
